“Step” Screening For The Society Of Composers And Lyricists

Fox Searchlight Pictures held a screening of STEP for The Society of Composers & Lyricists featuring a Q&A with Laura Karpman, Raphael Saadiq, and Taura Stinson, moderated by SCL Board Member, Lynn Kowal. The panelists discussed how they came to work on the film and described their collaboration on both the score and original song ‘JUMP.’ Laura, Raphael, and Taura all agreed that they wanted the song to reflect the true emotion of the film and be something the BLSYW girls would not only listen to but be proud of.
